When measuring to see what size kitchen tables you should be looking at, there are several dimensions that should be taken into account. These dimensions will also help you figure out which shape of table will be best for your particular kitchen. First start by measuring any wall space you have to put the table against. Many kitchens do not have any wall space for a table, so this step may not be needed. Next measure the entire room, length and width. Using those measurements, mark off the necessary space that you actually need to be able to walk around the kitchen freely. Imagine what the room will look like if there is a table right in the middle of it. Think about whether this will disrupt your workflow of cooking and how small it needs to be in order to not get in the way. Once you are armed with these measurements, then it is time to hop online and start looking at pictures.
Perhaps kitchen stools or kitchen counter chairs can be used in the meantime, or even used as a solution for those who wish to not have a table at all. The elevated height provides the ability to eat on the kitchen counter instead of the table. Either way kitchen tables and chairs for small spaces are available as well but generally these are smaller and rounder, and if you are looking for more of a luxury look from a double glass table or marble top table, you are most likely out of luck.
If you want a little more real estate to put out a spread, you may want to forgo the bistro table and get something a little larger. This really depends on the space you have available in your kitchen, as round kitchen tables come in all sizes. One of the benefits of going with a round table is that it appears a little more open, leaving your kitchen feeling less cramped. However, to get the same approximate square footage of table space on top, you may have to go with a slightly larger diameter than you ordinarily would.
